Today’s Throwback Thursday Tidbit:
1904: The original concept of the game Monopoly was patented. Originally called The Landlord’s Game, it was created to show the economic consequences of Ricardo’s Law of Economic Rent and the Georgist concepts of economic privilege and land value taxation. The game has undergone a number of changes over the years to become what we play today, but the heart of the game is still there.
And that’s the history lesson for today! If you’re interested in a real estate future, give us a call at 215-631-1900 or email Jennie at email@example.com.
