Today’s Throwback Thursday Tidbit:

1938: The New Deal includes the development of Fannie Mae. Fannie Mae (or the Federal National Mortgage Association) is a government-sponsored enterprise. It’s purpose is to expand the secondary mortgage market by securitizing mortgages in the form of mortgage-backed securities.
